The Industry demands more and more autonomy and automation tasks from drones. Thus, more computation intensive problems have to be considered to be solved onboard, especially with high throughput data rates. AI algorithms like object recognition or tracking are increasingly used with drones by public safety, security or wildlife conservation teams. To quickly enable development in such areas, Auterion presents an additional companion computer module tailored for these demands The AI Node from Auterion adds supercomputer performance to your Skynode™, right at the edge onboard your drone. It is equipped with the NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX system on a module, the world’s smallest AI supercomputer for embedded and edge systems. With up to 21 TOPS of accelerated computing, the AI Node delivers the required resources for compute-heavy algorithms, to run modern neural networks in parallel and process data from multiple high-resolution sensors. Embedded in an enclosed unit with fast accessible extended memory, wide input voltage range and a variety of interfaces, the AI Node enables immediate development and prototyping. Apps can be efficiently optimized with the NVIDIA® libraries and easily deployed using the Auterion developer tools.
